So another semester of school had offically ended with the end of my exams.. pray for good GPA...

It had been a long time since i update (6 months +/- ) a lot of things had happen within this time... (if not then i had been short changed for my life)

Ok lets me pick it up from where i left it...

I have beening rotting at home since last post, and all thanks to wong and mc who keep me company during these times. I went to the PC show and bought myself a external hard drive and a new digi camera and they are both expnesive T.T

Why a new cam? well, its for those things below...

some how i'm back here. i'm free from my common test and into my holidays and spend the first 3 days of it in ASTRO camp... it was ok.. as long as i'm not the one playing the games... well the camp are for secondary school people. But the sad part is that its an ASTRO camp.... but no one ever touched the telescopes... it didn't even leave the ASTRO clubhouse...all due the weather. its was raining and the next its not and all but an overcast sky. never mind then....i figured.. once the school reopens, i will have to study 1 full month before end of sem exams and the end of year 1 for me...O well...look on the bright side (P.S. Pls don't get blinded by the sun)...

Family reunion

today is teacher's day, i didn't went back to secondary school... i wanted to, but wasn't able to. i have to attend the all important last day of my family reunion. from morning till late afternoon. i am so looking forward to this year teacher's day since i graduated last year.haven't seen most of my classmates since then.

is it just me, whenever there is a class gathering, some important things always happen...

so today the whole of my mother side of the family gathered together with my grandfather the last time, before going to the 'airport' helping him 'check in'. and finally sending him one final time at the departure hall.

well if u can guess, this airport i'm talking about isn't quite Changi airport, but is Madai Cremation Centre. What my reative called, 'airport' for those who has pasted on.

some how i don't know how to continue anymore.......

Finished my last paper 10 hours before this post.. hmm....so with the exams out of the way... what will happen now?

enjoy life as it is i guess.... i'm enjoying mine, do enjoy yours, you will only get one try at this life thingy... might as well make the best out of it...(don't make me prove it to you that there are people worst off than us)

Today is a special day for me and another 4 of my friends... it start as a normal day here and there.. done my last welding lesson..(its fun!), then after lunch the real thing begins.

We went down to the convention centre to join a event that is for a great cause.... BLOOD DONATIONS...O.o don't believe?

This is me, my hand to be exact...you can see the bag of blod at the bottom left..and the tube that transfers the blood to the bag is over my hand..i can feel the luke warmth of the blood ..(so i'm not cold blooded after all.. interesting...) 0.0

Well i'm back... here... sorry to disappoint any one who don't expect me to....
well i'm in the middle of my term break holidays just like any others in polys...but unlike most others i have nothing to do.... yup zero.. nothing...

Had my common test 2 weeks ago(counting this week) ... i would say most were easy while a few were kinda of hard... well neither the result is out yet, nor i receive any calls to go back for retest...for now...hopefully never..

After my last paper on friday i went out with a few of polys friends...then head back home to have dinner... finally head back to school again for astro overnight...why? reason is simple, that day, or i should say that night 8/06 was the night of Jupiter watch... it was a night that Jupiter won't set (it still does but in the morning) so it was the perfect time to 'study' Jupiter...and some other stars...

Well this is Jupiter, believe itor not... the 2 small dots by the side is 2 moons of Juiter...

here is another picture... ok i know its small.. pls don't blame me, becasue the telescope i was using is older than me and wasn't the best of the telescopes.. but hey.. i still saw Jupiter..

Well i also saw other stars but the light is too dim for pictures to be taken... except for the moon...

What had happened had happened, we can't do any thing to change it. Facts will always be facts, such as the world is round, and it will always be round. its just how we work around things that changes the view of everything. Once i was told, there were 2 types of people in this world. one type are those who thrive to be the astronaunts and the other are the astrologist. They both had one same dream, to be with the stars. Then how different they are? well those who are astronaunts, had fought hard to achieve his/her dreams, to see the stars and been with them. But the astrologist will always remains on the ground staring at the few star whose dim light only barely able to reach them. Who do you want to be?

Many times, mistakes are made without the person even noticing, however there are some mistakes i make even though i know its wrong. (not i'm not talking about crimes.) There are reasons why i make them and will continue to. It won't change anything if these mistakes were never made, and it may even cause things to go down hill even more. you may had made the same mistake as i along your life, no, don't be sad about it. we made the choice, and we have to make the best out of it. however been able to think out of it and undo the mistake is the always the best option. But for the few of us, it maybe too late. Live the best you can, as we only got a hundred years to live.

hmmm... i have no idea why i'm here... but i guess i should update from time to time....

well the last 5 days was hectic, relax, long and short. i think many people who is a freshman in poly would face/feel the same way. Its hard to define and sometimes hard to understand if u are not in poly/JC..(neither did i understand what i'm writing now)....

basically what happened is that we when around following our time table to different class (getting lost for a few times) and meeting the lecturers knowing them a bit and we are off...end of class....

Well for me (and most if not all of the freshmans) the school is hot...and to make matters worst, the school is build on side to top os hills which means climbing them is a daily affair for me.... T.T
O well i guess i do need the exercise...

I'm in a class of 18 people, which makes things easy, but it will still take me time to settle in. I hope it won't take long....anyway hoping for things don't have much effect, all it ever does is to give us some sense of security.....

Well today at school for the first 3 hrs is CAD lesson (Computer Aided Design), however half of the class didn't bring their laptops so we are off after a 30 min breifing... which left us 2 and 1/2 hour of the remaining class time plus 1 hr of original break time, total 3 1/2 hrs of break time...
With so much time, a few of us went to the shopping center nearby the school and played pool...

well after school I went to meet a few other friends secondary school buddies... and guess what we planned to do?

Pooling..... and you may think i'm mad/insane and so on.. maybe i am.... anyway my skill didn't became god like or something after so much pooling... i'm still a noob...

enough crapping for now... the world will still turns and tomorrow will still come, no matter i'm the there or not.

i'm lost right now.... the day when i got my poly posting, i had got only one reply, from JAE, i got into NP's marine and offshore technology. I was expecting 2 replies instead, the above one and the other one from SP's DAE regarding my admission to SP's nautical studies..... and since then i thought the SP had rejected me. All going sort of well untill today, i received my enrolement packages.... (note its packageS... with a S).......................

thats right i don't receive one, but two package...... one from NP (as expected), the other one, well u should have guessed it from SP (unexpected).... i guess mich will get 2 as well, and maybe faced the same dilemma as me..... both are good courses, and both are fun/enjoyable in some ways.... so which to choose? i don't know... i really don't know... some one pls enlighten me...

Well back... for now... some time ago a Sam, Junyu, Mich, Ele, Li Mei and me when to catch a moive at vivo..we kinda shop around untill its time for the show..they watched "Just Follow Law" by Jack neo. It can be seen that the show is nice cause they were laughing, talking about it, and in a very cheerily mood. me?... i watched a different the moive.. "Letters From Iwo Jima" ..it was made to compare with another another moive, "Flags Of Our fathers". Both moive were made around the world war 2, pacific war on a small island of Iwo Jima. the latter moive is made from thw view point of america's marines who invaded the Japanese's island (Iwo Jima). The fromer moive (Letters From Iwo Jima) was made from the view point of the japanese defenders. the 40 days battle itself was a very complex one (at least to most people) so i should not explain here... -sweat drops.. thanking me for not explaining it..by most people-.... Anyway both moive is very good, its hard to find another war moive this caliber....

Any case, the saturday of that week... or rather last saturday on which this was wrote, the bunch (Sam, Junyu, Mich, Alvin, Mc and not urprising, me) finally went to Escape Theme Park. Well, we got on a real pirate ship instead of a swing, a small size rollar cosater instead of a slide which we can't even slide down, we got on the Fipper (the one which u sat in something like a like cup) instead of a large turning dics, and we got real toys(Sam and Alvin) instead of sea shells... but hey.. both the theme park and the Pasir Ris park has its own good and fun..and i like them both...

Its kind of wonder, we all got or about to get our posting to polys or JCs...it just make me wonder after school opens, how many more times can we spend our time together, so freely, so enjoying... A new path have being shown to us, its up to us how far down the road can we go.

i don't know how many people had been reading this blog of mine, i don't think there is many out there, but i should update it anyway...

There isn't much happening to me these days (good or bad thing?).... and so had been sleeping, eating and playing the whole time....can't help feeling guilty whenever i went out, seeing others in school uniforms, studying hard (although I've saw many at shopping centers after school hours..does that counted as studying?) while i'm playing and enjoying life........ -.-"

despite such age, these ship is still the few of the world most powerfull ship standing only in slight second place while the first is taken by the even larger US aircarft carriers, and US nuclear submarines.

A low-flying kamikaze plane (top left) which penetrated the curtain of MISSOURI's anti-air shells and fire and crashed on the starboard side (right side) just below her main deck level, but yet the battleship suffered only superficial damage.

Of all things that happened onboard USS MISSOURI, the most important is the signing of the instrument of surrender of the empire of Japan, thus offically ending wrold war 2 (above is the japanese delegation on aboard, 2 spet 1945)

At the age of more than 60 years, these ships had seen and fought through major conflicts and wars, like World War 2, Korean war, Vietnam war, and the the first Gulf war. these is the only few ships left in the US navy that had high overall armor protection that even till today cannot be matched by any ships afloat. They could survive almost any damage, from any weapons used at them from high caliber shells, to heavy anit-ship cruise missiles, these ship can take the damage and still fight back hard.

However powerful these ship are the US navy no longer believes in them and since the change of policies these ships were regarded as no longer need. 2 were decomissioned for that last time after the first gulf war and the other 2 were placed in inactive status and finally decomissioned on march 17, 2006.

well updating now as promised....

you know most people says tha a picture worth a thousand words..... so i'm going to present to you all(whoever know this blog existed), the photo essay of my family holiday to bangkok... do enjoy as there isn't refund of the ticket if you did like it....

The views from my hotel room....

i shared the room with my sis, my parents had the room next door.... my bed is the one in the foreground..right in front of the TV!!....but truly my sis's bed is better... also got a good view from the tv but also the great view of the outside world....

well only one word can use to describe the this hotel room... BIG...in this picture, the living room is behind me, the bedroom is on the left of me, in the fornt, the first turn to the left is the storage area, the end of the corridor to the left again is the bath room...

you must have wonder what kind of hotel that has a observation deck... it none other than the Thailand's tallest builing.. the Baiyoke Sky Hotel.....

some facts:

total 88 storey high

the main lobby is at the 18th storey

a 4 star hotel

673 hotel rooms altogether

sited in the middle of the down town area...(right outside the hotel is full of shoppings)

this may look like a palace but its actually the royal temple...its big.....and what you know.. there is some large stone figtures standing by some of the door... some of them looks like the chinese 'door gods' (translate it to chinese word for word)... and guess what.. those WERE made by the chinese... during the late Qing empire era...as a gift to thailand....there is even one figture that wears a top hat and used a cane overall looked very western.. the guide said that it is made by the chinese to depict marco polo....believe it or not....

i don't remember what these were called.. but they have the same function as a tomb stone.. and such big ones were built by the past kings of Thailand....however these did not contain any ashes....

one of the newest shopping centre in downtown bangkok ..its big, and beautiful...its so new that most shops wasn't ready yet....however i'm done with my shopping in others shopping centres already...

well when booking the Baiyok sky hotel my floks feel that we may visit other places so we didn't book the hotel till the end of our stay... however we changed our minds when we reached the hotel.. we wanted to extent our stay.. but its fully booked!! 673 rooms and its fully booked...-.-"
well with no other choice we when looking for other hotels with the help of the travel angency and got the Royal Princess Hotel....and much smaller.. but its grand... quite grand.... with 50 years of history....the above is my room..as again parents is right next door...

went to the floating market... first by tour mini bus (1and 1/2 hrs ride) then a short nice trip by the 'floating bus' above...

after the floating market we went to a snake farm when they had a snake show...nice...

the thailand cobra forced to insert its teeth into a cup in order to extract the venom......anyone thristy? want a drink?

it have snakes for lunches....however this is only a show the snakes are put in for a short while to show how deadly is 'tiny little thing'..in the picture... the animal is heading for the snake's head...orch...

well thats it for my trip to bangkok..it started on the 21st and i'm back by the 25th(christmas!!).... there are some other things i had done there.. like shopping...and the transsexual show.... however i didn't take any pictures of it... so might as well omit it...

Hi......this my first blog, i guess a lot of things will happen here some maybe heartwarming (really?), fun and most probably be lame (i'll try to control myself..but u know...). i have not much to say for now except that i want to give a big thanks to ql and mich for all the help they provided to this nood here writing...well, till i finish all the details of the blog (most of it is still empty), more things will come. As for now, i'll like to end off this post with a classic promises always made by my friends when they first started their blogs: I hope that this blog will not end up like jon's blog... ... but for me, i'll try to break his record of ignoring his blog for 9 months and still counting.... (just joking...lame, i know...)..
